Northern Uganda (Gulu)

Africa

In Northern Uganda, 750,000 children are growing up in IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) Camps as the 22-year-war there has finally entered a time of peace. Now that the war is over, the government has “closed” the camps forcing the children, many of whom were forced to kill or be killed and witnessed horrible atrocities against their families, the murder of their parents, etc., to remain in the camps with no services or assistance.

It’s time for these children to go home. And you can help.

Africa

Sweet Sleep and our partners in northern Uganda (the Ugandan government and World Vision) are helping to resettle these children and former child soldiers back home into their now safe home villages. A resettlement kit including a straw mat, thick foam mattress, blanket, life-saving mosquito net and a Bible in their own language is just $50. How many children can you help return home?
