Sweet Sleep knows your company believes that giving back is not just important, it’s essential. In order to provide “a bed for every head,” contribution through corporate partnership is vital as, together, we work to provide a place to sleep for the nearly 210 million orphaned and abandoned children in the world. Companies, and employees, contribute to Sweet Sleep because it is the right thing to do.
Ways you can work with Sweet Sleep
• Community Service Work
Companies regularly partner with Sweet Sleep as a way to give back and to reinforce the philanthropic values of their employees. Every year, corporations give their employees paid time off and/or make financial gifts to our organization. Companies and employees contributing to Sweet Sleep change the lives of children around the world.
• “A Bed for Every Head” – Global Orphan Bed Building Program
Sweet Sleep also arranges Global Orphan Bed Building trips for teams from your company. Teams are comprised of 8–16 employees and trips generally range from 5 to 10 days. Participants build beds alongside the orphaned and abandoned children and teens who live in the orphanage. The impact on the lives of the orphans, as well as your employees, is significant.
Our corporate partnerships enable us to design trips that provide opportunities for employees to further develop their communication, problem-solving skills and leadership skills, all while giving back. Trips are filled with obstacles; nevertheless, with a high commitment to task, simple beds are assembled in short periods of time. The goals are observable, and the camaraderie developed among the trip participants and the children is incredible. The career development derived from these trips is comprehensive in nature. Participation in a Sweet Sleep Global Orphan trip enhances employees’ bodies, minds and spirits.
• Corporate Matching Programs
Many companies encourage employees to donate to their favorite causes and will “match” contributions made by their employees. Through corporate gift matching you can double or even triple your gift to Sweet Sleep, providing more beds to orphaned and abandoned children around the world! Some companies also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
